Screens--Social Media

* "How do I get my child off of the phone or iPad without a fight?"

Parents are deeply concerned that excessive screen time and social media use can impact their children’s mental health, attention, and real-life social connections. They also worry about exposure to harmful content, online pressure, and the erosion of family communication.

*I support parents to shift from fear and conflict into connection—using NVC to model empathetic listening and clear boundary-setting, and NLP to reframe unhelpful thought patterns that escalate power struggles around screens. Together, these tools allow parents to communicate values effectively, foster mutual respect, and co-create healthier screen habits with their children.

Co-Parenting

* "What do I tell my kids about the terrible things my ex is saying about me?"

Co-Parenting can be one of the most challenging dynamics for families.

Parents struggle with different parenting styles, communication challenges, emotional struggles,

firm boundaries, adjustments and new relationships.

*By combining brain science, communication practices, and practical tools, I help parents shift from conflict-driven dynamics to cooperative co-parenting partnerships.

This not only benefits the parents relationship but also create the emotional safety and consistency children need to thrive.

R-E-S-P-E-C-T

* "How do I get my teen to speak to me more respectfully? Or treat their sibling better?"

When parents feel disrespected by their kids—or when siblings disrespect each other—it often isn’t about “bad behavior” alone.

While unacceptable, It can signal unmet needs for being heard, understood, and valued.

Disrespect usually shows up when there’s frustration, lack of clear boundaries, or a breakdown in communication.

*Using an NVC and NLP perspective:

  • I can help parents reframe disrespect not as defiance but as an attempt (even if clumsy) to express autonomy, emotions, or needs.

  • BOUNDARIES!  I support parents in setting firm, clear, yet compassionate boundaries that model respect.

  • I guide siblings and parents toward language that acknowledges feelings while redirecting behavior toward cooperation and mutual understanding.

Disconnect

* My teen barely interacts with me. How can I change that dynamic?"

Parents often feel frustrated and powerless when the disconnect at home grows, leaving them unsure how to reach their child.

At the same time, teens can feel increasingly alone, unseen, and misunderstood, which deepens the divide.

*I support families rebuild connection at home by teaching them to communicate with empathy, set clear boundaries, and respond to their child's needs without blame.

Using NVC and NLP, I guide families to shift patterns of conflict into cooperation, so teens feel heard and parents feel empowered.
